DOOL Spoilers: Forget Stefano, EJ’s Plan To Resurrect Lexie Is A Game Changer!

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) worked together on a secret science project at the new clinic. We’ve been puzzled about their plans; now, it seems everything is falling into place, and we think we know what’s going on.

Forget Stefano If He’s Bringing Back Lexie!

Our doubts began after the winter preview of Days of Our Lives when EJ showed Paulina Carver (Jackeé Harry) the person in the cryogenic chamber.

After watching Monday’s episode, we were convinced. It’s not Stefano DiMera being revived, but Lexie DiMera Carver (Renee Jones); think about it.

In Monday’s episode, the show switched from Abe Carver (James Reynolds) recalling asking EJ for help with Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) to the lab.

Just after Abe complained about “Lexie’s family,” EJ went to the cryogenic tube to celebrate Thanksgiving with whoever is in there that “passes” for his family.

It Could Be Stefano, But Stefano Would Be Problematic

It might be his dad, as The Phoenix seems to be rising again, but why would EJ want that? Sure, bringing Stefano back would likely mean Theo loses the CEO role, but that’s because Stefano would take over.

EJ’s dad was very problematic and evil, even for him; when Stefano was around, EJ often had to follow The Phoenix’s plans.

But if he could bring Lexie back to show her son that being head of DiMera was bad, EJ could take over himself. We were unsure how Gwen fits in since she probably wouldn’t care about Lexie being revived.

EJ Likely Used Gwen For Funding

However, EJ required funding for this venture, and he clearly lured her in with the promise of a substantial return.

If Lexie’s been in a state of suspended animation rather than deceased,  EJ has enlisted the help of Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) and Mark Greene (Jonah Robinson) to develop a treatment.  

This would aimed at curing her brain tumors to revive her,  but this could also be expanded and sold commercially.

A cure for brain tumors, or, could they even dare to dream of a cure for cancer? As distasteful as it may be to profit from something that could greatly benefit humanity, Gwen’s investment would render both her and EJ wealthier than they ever imagined.

Abe’s Likely In The Dark About What EJ Is Doing

Abe might not fully grasp EJ’s intentions, only that his ex-brother-in-law has vowed to assist in freeing Theo from DiMera-perhaps this is why EJ reveals to Paulina what lies ahead.

Their relationship is far from amicable, so he could derive a perverse pleasure from witnessing her distress over her cherished Abe potentially returning to his supposedly deceased wife.

As for Abe… He would find himself at the heart of a major storyline, struggling with Lexie’s comeback just when he appears more secure than ever in his affection for Paulina. You have to admit, it would certainly make for a lot of drama!
