DOOL Linsey Godfrey Talks Bonding With “New” Victoria

Days Of Our Lives Linsey Godfrey Talks Bonding With “New” VictoriaDays of Our Lives spoilers suggest that even though Sarah Horton Kiriakis and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) have called it quits, one thing that they can agree on is the love they have for their daughter, Victoria Kiriakis.

The character was recently recast, as twins Amelia and Kennedy Hileman stepped into the role, and their onscreen mom, Linsey Godfrey, recently talked about the steps she takes to ensure actor kids form a connection to help when filming scenes.

Taking The Time To Get To know Each Other

Soap kids seem so comfortable in front of the camera and in scenes, and truly form a bond with their onscreen parents.

Godfrey talked to Soap Opera Digest about how important it is to establish a rapport with the children working on the show. In fact, both she and Paul Telfer will go knocking on the twins’ dressing room door when they are on set to say hi and enjoy some fun before shooting.

Godfrey has experience with kids, not only because she’s a mom herself, but she was a nanny and once taught “Mommy & Me” classes.

Godfrey explains that DOOL supports their actors playing with their onscreen children before the cameras are rolling to get the kids comfortable with their colleagues.

Paul Telfer’s A Natural

While Godfrey has experience with children, Telfer is new to kids; however, the twins took to their onscreen dad right away.

The onset of bonding is as complicated as one would think. Godfrey explains it really is just playing with the twins and getting them to laugh.

She adds that they love it when she pretends to be a horse, and she and Telfer will gallop around. The girls also enjoy when they play with their dolls.

Godfrey adds, “A lot of times it’s just us chasing after them and spinning them around. And their parents are super-cool.”

The actress also notes, “The show pauses for at least 30 seconds to a minute when we first get them (the twins) on set, so that I can get them going, ready to play, and have fun. These kids are super affectionate, too. They come running to you. They love giving out hugs. It is so cute.”
