Donald Trump Calls Seth Meyers A Lunatic With “NO TALENT”

If Seth Meyers thinks that US President Donald Trump isn’t doing his job well, well US President Donald Trump is going to think he doesn’t even have a right to hold an opinion like that, considering he’s a… and I quote… “truly deranged lunatic.”

Even though Trump’s been known for his fiery temper, this particular one was not exactly unwarranted.

What Did Seth Meyers Say That Set Donald Trump Off?

Before I get into what Seth Meyers said that ticked the President off, let me first catch you up on what Trump said in the first place that set off this whimsical chain reaction.

The comment comes up during Trump’s recent trip to Japan, where he addressed their troops and declared his interest in restoring steam-powered catapults on aircraft carriers.

“I know a lot about these ships … I want to know (about) catapults, which is better, the electric or the steam? They’re spending billions of dollars to build stupid electric,” he said, adding, “I’m going to sign an executive order when we build aircraft carriers its steam for the catapults. … They spent $993 million on the catapults trying to get them to work.”

Meyers – always witty to a fault – immediately set out to get some laughs from his audience at the expense of one Donald Trump.

“Guy spends more time thinking about catapults than Wile E. Coyote,” he quipped during NBC’s ‘Late Night’ on Friday. “Next, he’s gonna start complaining about how our troops don’t tie themselves to rockets anymore.”

“We used to strap our soldiers to the rockets, and they loved it,” Meyers said, imitating Trump’s voice. “But then everything got woke, and they said you can’t tie a person to a rocket, but we miss those days and we’re bringing them back.”

Elsewhere in the episode, he gets a bit more serious and factual, saying, “Experts say it would cost billions to go back to the old system, but Trump thinks he knows more about aviation than everyone else because he dances like one of those guys that holds the signaling sticks on the runway.”

Whilst not threatening to sue Meyers for every dime he has, Trump was not exactly lenient either, as he ribbed him for both talent and ratings.

“On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic,” the president said of Meyers. “Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”
