The Dancing with the Stars Season 34 cast is now known, and it seems that some of the rumored leaked names were incorrect. Notably, Lauren Jauregai appears in the show, and she wasn’t on the rumored list of contestants.
However, Danielle Fishel, the actress known for Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World, was. This week, she revealed how she kept her participation a secret until the rumored cast was leaked.
Keeping The Secret
The story about keeping the secret on being cast on ABC’s celebrity dance competition came from Danielle on her Pod Meets World podcast on September 3. The podcast promised she’d dish about her “upcoming ballroom debut. Why did she finally say yes? How has practice been going? Is she getting along with her partner?” and more.
However, the interesting part about it was how she managed to keep her casting a secret for so long. In her solo chat, she explained that she consulted with her sons, and they came up with a different masked idea each time she arrived for rehearsals. So, that explains why some folks saw the Hulk, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Iron Man.
So Secret Her Co-Hosts Didn’t Know
Danielle said that she didn’t even mention her DWTS casting to co-hosts, Rider Strong and Will Friedle, until August. She confessed:
I had to be very, very, very tight-lipped. I did tell Will and Rider sometime in August because it was time for us to start scheduling the pod…they were both very surprised, Rider was just shocked. Will I think knew that it was something I would do eventually, but Rider was really shocked…”
Danielle’s Likely To Be A Fan-Favorite
When ABC fans speculated on who this year’s villain might be, it seemed unlikely that Danielle would be one so labeled. After all, she brings a lot of nostalgia from her time as Topanga Matthews on Boy Meets World and the spinoff, Girl Meets Boy. Additionally, fans remember her fondly from Full House and Harry and the Hendersons.
The likely villain seemed to point to Corey Feldman, who appears to be rather polarizing these days. And that might end up being the case, because he was also on the rumored list. Now, he’s been confirmed as a contestant. Andy Richter, also now confirmed, was a possibility as a personality who might produce some “rolling eyes.”
You can expect some inside takes on DWTS because on her podcast, she also told her fans that she intends to continue her podcast during the competition. So, some insider information is likely to keep fans coming back to her podcast for more.
