Police in Hoover, Alabama, revealed the sad death of sports reporter for WBRC, Christina Chambers, and her husband, Johnny Rimes, Jr. this week. Christina had a successful career and after leaving the media industry, she was named the Advisor of the Year 2024 at Thompson High School, where she worked. Principal Wesley Hunter remarked that the school was mourning her departure. He also gave his condolences and prayers to her family and the people who were affected.

At the time of her death, Chambers was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. That company also issued a statement in her honor. A director said that Christina was like a jewel in the collar of the company with her friendly and loving nature.
