B&B Spoilers: Will Ridge Make Good On Promise To Brooke? – Taylor And Nick Say No

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Will Ridge Make Good On Promise To Brooke? - Taylor And Nick Say NoThe Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) he’s going to make things right.

That appeared to mean another revival of their decades-long on-again, off-again romance is happening.

But Ridge’s loathed maternal brother, Nick Marone (Jack Wagner), isn’t planning to allow that to happen. The engagement ring he had in Naples, Italy, but couldn’t put on Brooke’s finger, is still in play.

Teaser scenes show him offering the engagement ring to Brooke. Parallel script pages project Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) showing Ridge the ring he gave her, with Budig’s dialogue attempting to reinforce the intended nuptial that she initiated.

Problems Taylor Hayes And Nick Marone Face

Taylor and Nick are joint underdogs, and they know it. Each person faces the prospect of being in second position in the minds and hearts of the ones they love.

Ridge is, no doubt, Taylor’s greatest love. She saw an opportunity to secure him in recent months and proposed remarriage. He accepted.

Nick heard Ridge threw Brooke off yet again and made his way to Los Angeles, California. Brooke is smitten with him and likes having a viable challenger she could put in front of Ridge’s face.

But Taylor and Nick know in their hearts and minds that they are the pursuers rather than the ones being pursued.

Ridge Forrester Compelled To Act

Ridge was urged by the only man he considers to be his father, Eric Forrester (John McCook), to go after Brooke. Thankfully, he did because Brooke’s life might have been lost otherwise.

The latest Ridge and Brooke fantastic adventure naturally lends itself to Kaye’s character believing it represents a sign.

Yet, fans can wonder if his emotions will overtake all rational thoughts and the promise he made to Taylor when he’s back in Los Angeles, California, and standing in front of her.

Taylor deserves better than a quick kiss-off. This is daytime. So, Ridge surely won’t make a hasty, final, and firm decision. Instead, he’ll likely throw a hatchet, in slow-motion, at her heart, with the deepest possible break happening.

Forced To Take Responsibility In The End?

Ridge left Brooke because he claimed to be done with her chaotic, self-destructive lifestyle.

His description of her behavior was reinforced by the sight of her recklessly lounging on the back of Nick’s boat just before she took a forced plunge into the Italian drink.

Hopefully, Taylor doesn’t turn to the drink after she learns about Ridge’s rescue of Brooke and what feels more than likely to follow.

Maybe Taylor and Nick will finally realize that Brooke is right. She and Ridge are destined to be together.

Maybe Taylor and Nick will also recognize that they’ve idealized the past, romanticized the present, and share equal responsibility for the many failed attempts to create what was never sustainable in this daytime reality.
