American Idol Fans React To The 2025 Winner

American Idol 2025 wrapped up on Sunday, May 18, and there were more than 26 million votes for the winner. Clearly, people still tuned in after Katy Perry departed. Ryan Seacrest seemed delighted, but as usual, he dragged out the announcement.

The final three, Breanna Nix, John Foster, and Jamal Roberts, waited with bated breath. Once the winner was announced, fans took to the comments section to have their say.

Who Won The Season?

Breanna Nix came in at third place, and fan-favorite, country singer, John Foster landed in second place. The winner was Jamal Roberts.

The soulful singer had showcased his talent with excellent renditions of songs like A Change Is Gonna Come, Beauty and the Beast, and Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. Jamal played First Time by Teeks during the Season 23 finale.

The successful end of the season opens new doors for Jamal Roberts, but some people feel that John Foster might go further in his career. Probably, he caught the attention of record labels. Hopefully, he does well. Meanwhile, some critics hated the whole show because of judge Carrie Underwood and her conservative views.

On YouTube, Idol fans took to the comments section, and it seems that most people were happy with the outcome. That was despite so many fans fearing the judges had pre-rigged the winner. Who Is Jamal?

During his time on the show, viewers learned more about the newly crowned American Idol winner. He is a 27-year-old singer and teacher who hails from Meridian, Mississippi. Beyond his musical aspirations, Jamal is also a devoted father to three daughters: Harmoni, Lyrik, and Gianna.

This wasn’t Jamal’s first attempt at Idol; he had auditioned previously, but the judges felt he was too young and hadn’t yet developed a sufficiently broad range of songs. Interestingly, his passion for singing began at the very young age of two.
