Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that it looks as if Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) new storyline will revolve around her past mental health issues.
Sharon has been acting odd as her bipolar meds have changed, and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) hasn’t only noticed, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has, too.
While Sharon has been downplaying her situation, it also looks as if the death of her daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) may be the source of unresolved trauma.
During the June 25 episode, a memory of Sharon fighting with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) after Cassie’s accident was triggered after she saw Daniel, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant).Could things spiral where Lucy ends up in danger?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lucy Romalotti Takes Center Stage
Y&R spoilers suggest that Lucy hasn’t been on canvas that much lately; however, did appear multiple times during the week of June 24. She also had a scene where she and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) met up for lattes at Crimson.
Sharon felt very unsettled after her run-in with Daniel and the family, as she recalled the hospital encounter with Romalotti, so many years ago.
While it’s all water under the bridge now, at the time, Cassie’s death was not only a devastating time in Sharon’s life, but it also unleashed a series of events that changed her life, forever.
From losing Cassie to Nick destroying their marriage (and family) – thanks to an affair with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who also happens to be Daniel’s mom – things were never the same for Sharon.
Y&R Spoilers – Does Sharon Newman Still Blame Daniel Romalotti For What Happened To Cassie?
There may be a part of Sharon that still holds underlying resentment toward Daniel for what happened to Cassie. With Lucy becoming better friends with Faith, this could place the teen in Sharon’s orbit.
It would be completely out of character for Sharon to do anything to harm Lucy; however, if she spirals and has another mental health breakdown, anything is possible. In her confusion, Sharon may believe hurting Lucy would be “just revenge” for what happened to Cassie.
