Y&R Spoilers: Jason Thompson Talks Adam & Billy’s Evolution From Foes To Friends

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that something interesting is happening between Billy Abbott and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Once bitter rivals, the two have come together in an effort to help Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), as the young boy struggles with his OCD diagnosis.

Jason Thompson recently talked with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about Billy and Adam’s new dynamic.

Y&R spoilers suggest that in some ways, Billy and Adam have both landed on the same side of the fence.

Jason tells SOD that the two had a breakthrough when his character helped comfort Mr. Newman outside the office of Connor’s psychologist, during a recent scene.

Jason notes that Billy really opened up to Adam about the night he tried to run him down. As those words had never been spoken between the two, or at all, the moment was pivotal.

Thompson states that Billy will never like Adam; however, he does have empathy for what he’s going through right now with Connor.

Jason was asked by SOD if Billy and Adam can stay on the same page where Connor is concerned.

Mr. Thompson notes that while the two will never be “best” friends, mainly because of what they’ve done to each other in the past because both Connor and Billy’s gal pal, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) are involved in this situation, Abbott will do all he can to support his girlfriend.

Thompson points out the dynamic of Chelsea’s own mental health issues, and how Billy is threading lightly to ensure she doesn’t go to that “dark place” again.

Jason adds that Abbott is cognizant of supporting Chelsea and “saying” and doing all the right things so as not to trigger concern on her part.
