What The Heck Happened To General Hospital’s Drew Cain?

General Hospital spoilers indicate more trouble ahead from Drew. His loved ones think he is unrecognizable — and sadly, so do GH fans.

General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain Used To Be A Nice Guy

Once upon a time, there was a man with Jason Morgan’s memories who turned out to be his heretofore unheard-of twin brother Andrew Cain (then played by Billy Miller).

Yes, Drew now had a new face but he lived many years with Steve Burton’s face and as far as we know, he only has Jason’s memories up until 2014 when he showed up in Port Charles using the name Jake Doe.

What The Heck Happened To General Hospital's Drew Cain? After Drew was presumed dead for about two years, we learned that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was keeping him captive in an underground Greek prison, but the man who returned to PC from that prison didn’t seem much like our Drew (now played by Cameron Mathison).

He claimed to care about his daughter Scout more than anyone in the world, but as soon as he fell for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Scout was an afterthought.

GH Spoilers – Post-Prison Drew Cain Is Insane

For some reason, a short voluntary stint in Pentonville seems to have affected Drew’s personality more than Victor’s Grecian prison did. We already thought Drew was acting weird, but his current actions and reactions are over the top.

From wanting to send Scout to boarding school without consulting Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to his ruthless business tactics, Drew is both erratic and ridiculous.

He has already threatened physical violence against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for reporting the white-collar crime that he and Carly committed, but he seems to forget he pled guilty and threw himself on his sword so Donna didn’t have to lose Carly.

As Drew even explained, in his mind Donna needed Carly more than Scout needed him. So, he was in prison because he committed a crime and then leaped at the chance to go to jail instead of Carly.

When he got out of prison, Scout was the last person on his mind and Carly was the first. So, spare us the false saga that Nina kept Drew away from his child.

His new vendetta against Nina is out of character as the old Drew was a bit more zen and just wanted to let things go. Even Carly wonders why Drew craves revenge so much — that’s how odd the new Drew seems to be.
