Meghan Markle Announces Return To Television Seven Years After Exiting Legal Drama “Suits”

Meghan Markle Announces Return To Television Seven Years After Exiting Legal Drama “Suits”Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have let last year pass by with no big projects from them, but they’re coming in hot this year and are already underway producing two new non-fiction shows for Netflix.

They’re also working on adapting bestselling author Carley Fortune’s “Meet Me At The Lakes” via their production company, Archewell for Netflix.

Here’s what we know so far.

Meghan Markle To Return To the Small Screen In New Cooking Show

The Duchess that cooks!

Meghan Markle is heading to the kitchen, to the garden, and wherever else her friends might be for a new show she’s launching with Netflix.

As part of a multi-million dollar deal the pair signed with Netflix in 2020, Harry and Meghan have announced two non-fiction shows, which will be produced via their Archewell Productions banner.

Meghan’s project will see her celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship. It will be the first significant step that the couple has made towards removing themselves from the royal narrative and finding their own ground in Hollywood.

The as yet unnamed show will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. They are behind other non-fictional shows including Hulu’s “The D’Amelio Show” and “A&E’s Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath.”

To make the show as incredible as it should be, they’ve opted to bring in someone with lots of experience in the cooking show sphere to serve as showrunner.

Selena+Chef’s Leah Hariton will serve as showrunner with Michael Steed as the director. Steed himself is known for helming episodes of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” and “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.”

Meghan Will Executive Produce The Project Alongside Chanel Pysnik For Archewell Productions.

They will be joined by Hariton and Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman for IPC.

The new show comes on the heels of Meghan launching her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, which leads experts to predict she means to use the show as a launching board for the brand’s products.

Already, Meghan has gifted the brand’s first product – a jam – to dozens of friends and influencers, alongside carefully packaged lemons.
