GH Spoilers: Carly Forgives Jason, And Sonny Condemns Them Both — Is This the Only Way They Can Finally Be Together?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return to Port Charles will be the kickstart Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has needed to remember what he lost with his ex-wife and start to long for it all over again.

We’ve been waiting for the CarSon reunion we all know is coming, but there are no telltale signs that it’s anywhere close to fruition.

In fact, rumor has it Sonny is going to position himself further away from the former queen of his heart as she grows closer to the man he believes shot his son and tried to get him killed, too. Will Sonny be blind with rage and retaliate against Jason — even if Carly gets in the way?

General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Cain Wasn’t Off The Mark

When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) showed up at Carly’s door with twenty questions about his back-from-the-dead twin brother, Jason, she was surprised to hear him positioning himself against her revived best friend.

Drew wasn’t wrong when he claimed no one can ever come close to replacing Jason in Carly’s heart, and she’s going to give him the benefit of the doubt no matter where he’s been or what he’s done.

With Jason back, he will come first for Carly — above Drew, and even above Sonny.

Carly is waiting eagerly to see Jason again. Having no idea where he is — or whether he’ll be on the run for the rest of his life — she has faith that he’s going to resurface and be able to return to her life as a free man.

She refuses to believe he had anything to do with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) being shot, and when the evidence is unclear that Jason did or did not shoot Dante, it’ll stun everyone that Carly opens her arms to Jason while Sonny’s arms are still firmly closed.

Sonny has been through it this year. Being burned by his own son and ex-wife was bad enough. Finding out Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) also betrayed his trust left him rattled to his core.

Learning that Nina Reeves Corinithos (Cynthia Watros) was lying to him from before the time they even said their vows didn’t help matters.

Now, although Jason may insist he didn’t shoot Dante, and the police may say they can’t prove it either, Sonny won’t be as forgiving and presumptuous about Jason’s innocence as Carly is.
