Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis’ Window Closing – Daniel Protects Summer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) took control of a situation that was far out of control. He is determined to help his mother and sister in having told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive, and she killed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in self-defense.

Phyllis did not want Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) to tell anyone she was not murdered by Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Stafford’s character and Summer still hold Diane responsible for Phyllis’ predicament. That is a problem Daniel wants to resolve.

Diane had enough. She decided that Kyle and Jack needed to know that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) never killed her in self-defense. That happened decades ago in soap-time, and Diane was said to be hiding out in Los Angeles, California, for the majority of the time since then.

Of course, it was far-fetched to believe that Diane would have retained her cover for so many years. Plus, she was living in a city where Y&R’s sister show, and its characters live, including Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).

LA is large. But people run into each other all the time. Deacon happened to see Diane with a rich man. He relayed that to Nikki during a crossover sequence as part of the reveal storyline.

Y&R Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Fixated On Rival

Phyllis was thrown more than Jack and Kyle by Diane’s shocking comeback. She felt Diane would wormhole her way into everyone’s lives.

That happened, and everything Phyllis did made her look increasingly like a villain. She could not overcome the mind-meld power Diane had over Jack, who turned away from Phyllis and reignited his romance with Kyle’s mother.

Eventually, Jeremy proved to be what Phyllis saw as her only option. But that choice proved deadly for Hyde’s character and landed Phyllis in legal trouble that Michael feels is vexing.

Phyllis told Summer she needed time to develop a plan that would resolve the main issues. But she did not seem to have a solution to her legal issues.

Daniel hopes that informing Jack, Michael, and Kyle that Phyllis will have a better chance of reclaiming her life and proving Jeremy was the cause of everyone’s problems. Phyllis will not like what her son did but will likely thank him in what viewers presume is an endgame scenario where she does not serve jail time, or at least is not in the pen for years on Y&R.
