Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis In Serious Legal Jeopardy – Daniel’s Mistake Cited

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) feels the walls closing in. She wanted her daughter, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), to keep her secret. But she could not do so.

Summer’s near-instant reveal to her brother, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), was not ill-intentioned. Lanier’s character was overwhelmed by the shock of believing her mother was murdered and then learning she was alive.

The tell to Daniel has led to numerous other people learning the truth. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who was part of a group Daniel told the truth to, is teased to learn that Phyllis’ hiding place is at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

Phyllis does not blame Summer for telling Daniel, nor should she. The pressure Stafford’s character applied to Summer was too much for anyone to handle.

The plot was pushed by Summer telling Daniel. That served to further the storyline because the audience assumed Phyllis was not going to leave town forever. She believed her fated legal situation meant there was no way out and she needed time to develop an escape plan. That is one reason why she feels Daniel made a mistake in revealing her existence.

Summer recognizes that her mother killed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in self-defense. That is the crux of Phyllis’ problem, as she told her daughter inside the GCAC suite where she is hiding. Phyllis does not believe the authorities will give her slack.

Y&R Spoilers – Daniel Romalotti Took Charge

Daniel needed to help his sister and mother. So, he took the burden off Summer when saying that he met with Phyllis. That helped Summer to avoid being questioned by Kyle.

Summer proved she could not make decisions that would potentially give Phyllis an out. Daniel recognized his sister was forced into a terrible spot by their mother and decided to widen the circle of those in the know.

The pressure has since resulted in Summer leaving repeated voicemails on Phyllis’ phone and Stafford’s character feeling compelled to check into the GCAC. The next chapter in this unfolding storyline began as a result.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Must Face Consequences

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) made progress in being able to confirm that Phyllis is alive. His dogged determination led him to the filthy trash dumpsters behind the seedy motel where Phyllis killed Jeremy with scissors.

The program honoring Phyllis has mascara and tear stains. DNA evidence should link that to her. With that, Chance should be able to clear Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Daniel did not want Diane to take a legal fall. So that box should be checked. But Phyllis soon stands to face legal consequences for her various misdeeds on Y&R.
