The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) revealed her existence to Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). She believed Summer would keep her secret. But shortly thereafter, in the same location where Phyllis appeared and disappeared, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) arrived.
Summer could not restrain herself because the news was so overwhelming. So, Daniel was told the whole story and decided that his sister was crushed by grief.
Daniel’s reaction was natural. He first thought Summer’s reference to seeing Phyllis was what like and he and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) experienced. But mistaken identity was not what Summer meant.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Why Summer Newman Abbott?
Phyllis picked Summer instead of Daniel because she saw how her daughter ran the wake. Lanier’s character was in charge and did something very specific.
Summer told Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to offer her thoughts to the crowd at the memorial lounge that was dedicated to Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) during the bicentennial celebration.
Phyllis thought Summer was on board in believing Diane was far from innocent. But when Summer saw her mother’s reaction in Chancellor Park during the reveal, she was astonished.
Y&R Spoilers – Plotting A Way Out And A Return
Phyllis told Summer not to tell Daniel or anyone else she saw her. Telling Daniel means he will pass along Summer’s seemingly delusional thoughts to others.
However, Phyllis still has time to develop whatever her plan is. She told Summer that returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin, is not possible.
But the Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) self-defense murder is something Phyllis could overcome with careful planning and execution. Some tale of woe needs to be produced. Phyllis could create a workable return plan if it can not be challenged.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Remains The Target
Diane is in jail for killing Phyllis. But when Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc), or Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) learn that Phyllis is alive, Diane’s clear will swiftly follow.
It will be intriguing to see if Phyllis tries to pin a claimed kidnapping on Jeremy and Diane. That attempt would be a distraction, intended to confuse Chance.
Evidence matters. So, as long as there is nothing conclusive to tie Jeremy’s death to Phyllis, she will be okay. Otherwise, she could soon occupy the prison where Diane currently resides in on Y&R.
