The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will put Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on notice. The brothers are of two opinions on how to run the new company “Adustus” which is a merger of Newman Media and Kirsten Incorporated, and Nick wants decisive action.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman’s Infamous Tests
The brothers are at Society, and both are venting about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) taking control of everything again. Nick assumes Victor is upset over something he did and it’s ruined things for everyone, while Adam has a different opinion. He thinks it’s about them-meaning himself, Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and their plans for the new company, while Nick thinks Victor’s testing them.
The brothers argue over waiting for a sign for their father versus calling Victor’s bluff and doing what’s right for the business now. Nick doesn’t agree about settling old scores and pretending it’s all just business.
Y & R Spoilers – Newman Media Foolishness-It’s Foolishness
Nick argues some more, and he tells Adam he won’t stand for all this “Newman Media foolishness” and says it’s just foolishness. Nick thinks they should concentrate on showing the world they mean business and get everyone talking. As for the name Adam came up with, “Adustus”-which means “scorched earth” Nick says they should change the name. Adam teases him, asking if “The Gleeful Threesome” or “The Three Stooges” would be better. Nick also says that he needs to let go of the rejection and pain they feel and move forward instead of trying to get revenge on Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). He feels both of them would benefit greatly from breaking free from all the family drama and dysfunction.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The “Third Stooge” Joins Them
Sharon then joins them at the table and Adam mentions the name “Adustus” does come from a pretty dark place-she says that doesn’t mean his ideas aren’t sound. Sharon’s suggestion is that they look at their new company like a reinvention, oriented to a positive future and Adam reminds her and Nick he doesn’t change course well. Every time he’s been pushed to change it always fails-Sharon says he likes to act like he’s irredeemable but they know better.
Adam finally gives in and agrees to forget about Victor and Victoria’s games and get this chip off his shoulder, although he does say he made a move without consulting them. Nick isn’t exactly pleased that he offered Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) a job considering she broke their daughter’s heart-just then Adam gets a call from her accepting the job.
