The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) comes to visit his jailed fiancée, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) she’ll break up with him. But Jack will refuse to give up on her or proving her innocence.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Depressed, Discouraged Diane Jenkins
Depressed, discouraged Diane sits in her jail cell not seeing any way out of the frame-up she’s found herself in for her rival, Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) murder.
A bottle of strychnine had been found in Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Phyllis’ motel room and the poison showed up in Phyllis’ blood sample from the crash site.
An order for strychnine was traced to Diane’s credit card and she cannot prove forgery, plus Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) has been pushing the arrest envelope, citing she and Phyllis’ catfight.
Diane knows she was framed and there’s nothing she can do about it, she can’t even get a lawyer to represent her. After working so hard for so long to prove her redemption, there doesn’t seem to be any way out of a life in prison.
Y & R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Won’t Take No For An Answer
By the time Jack visits her, Diane will have given up and tells him to do the same, and tries to break up with him, encouraging him to forget her. But Jack won’t take no for an answer and he won’t give up on her, and encourages her not to give up on herself.
They both know that Diane wouldn’t have actually killed Phyllis, and especially not in a manner like that – and they also know Jeremy is an expert con man. Diane should know, she helped him pull his money cons, having been his money mule for several years.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Harrison Locke Needs His Didi
Jack finally goes for the heart, and reasons with Diane that their grandson Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez)needs his Didi-his baby word for “Grandma” based on her name.
He and their son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also encourage her to hang on while they do everything they can on the outside to prove she’s innocent. Kyle sides with his mother in spite of friction with Summer, who’s convinced she’s guilty.
Both will go out of their way to get Diane legal representation, which she’s entitled to, and work hard to pull apart the frame, obviously set by Jeremy, however they can.
Eventually, they feel sure they can find something to prove the frame and to exonerate her, although it might take a while.
