Few would have guessed that Jack would ever be asking Diane to participate in a nuptial ceremony. Only she, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde), or Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) could have anticipated the possibility because they were the only ones who knew Diane, who was calling herself Taylor Jensen, was alive.

Diane planned to flee Genoa City, Wisconsin, before Christmas. She felt her presence was endangering the lives of her loved ones.

Jack convinced Diane a trip to the Abbott cabin would help her to reset her mind. The Christmas trip worked, with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) joining the warm family festivities.

Kyle was the first to give his mother a second chance. While angered by her murder hoax, he accepted Diane’s explanation of her fragile mental state and the eventual realization that returning to life in GC was right.

But Kyle expressed his inner fear to his father in the recent past. Mealor’s character was concerned that the romantic reconciliation his parents were pursuing could produce something terrible. Kyle believed if Jack and Diane were to split, she would abandon them again.

Jack knew Kyle’s assumption had merit but believed Diane matured since she left them all those soapy years ago. Kyle is influenced by Summer’s misgivings and remains on edge.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Diane Jenkins’ Past Haunts Her

Diane has matured since she framed Summer’s grandmother, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), for her faux murder and left for a new life in California. The man she met in Los Angeles, Jeremy, has proven to be the bane of her existence.

While his desire for revenge is understandable, there appears to be no way to deal with Jeremy at this point in the plot. He is outraged that Diane sent him to prison, due to money laundering. Then, she framed him for grand larceny which resulted in a momentary jail stay.

It feels as though Diane and Jack will marry. But Jeremy must be handled before these renewed love birds can begin to sing. In the meantime, they have flown away again on Y&R.
