Y&R Spoilers: Diane Jenkins Meddles To Help Skyle Patch Things Up

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is likely feeling a tad guilty about her son’s marriage falling apart. She was quick to defend Summer Newman Abbott’s (Alison Lanier) actions recently when both Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) seemed quite upset that the young woman lied about her mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) being alive.

Skyle is hanging by a thread right now. Will Diane stick her nose in their marriage and try to bring the super couple back together, again?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman Keeps Pushing Her Away

The two ladies recently had a spat (and a half) in the Abbott mansion. Even though Diane started off strong by telling Summer she forgave her, and all the lying wasn’t her fault, things turned ugly fast when Jenkins blamed Red for everything.

Although she’s not wrong, the entire conversation just had Ms. Newman Abbott build more walls when it comes to her mother-in-law.

While Jenkins vowed to do whatever it takes to make things right between Skyle, the fact that Summer isn’t playing nice could have Diane rethinking her efforts. Why would Diane go above and beyond to help a daughter-in-law that doesn’t like her?

Y&R Spoilers – Does Diane Jenkins Have Ulterior Motives?

Technically, Diane hasn’t done anything underhanded since returning to Genoa City. Sure, she used Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to saunter back into Jack and Kyle’s life; however, other than fending off plots to bring her down from other town residents, she’s been pretty good.

Although, it’s hard for many Y&R fans not to be skeptical about her behavior. Some believe Jenkins is simply “faking it” until she makes it.

Perhaps, Diane is once again playing the martyr to further solidify the persona she’s built in Kyle and Jack’s eyes. Despite being burned by Summer, she’s still willing to pretend to be the “bigger person”.
