Y&R Spoilers: Chance Makes A Big Move

The Young And The Restless -Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) The Young and The Restless spoilers and rumors tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is disillusioned with the GCPD and regular police work and needs a change. He’s tired of fighting the Newman and Abbott machines in town and makes a career change-might he return to his own private investigation business?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Back To The New Beginning

When Chance first decided to stay in Genoa City because he fell in love with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) he quit the FBI and started his own PI business. Abby convinced him to join the Genoa City Police Department and he closed down his PI business to be a cop. Recently, he’s become disillusioned because he’s frequently been forced to close cases differently than he felt was right-the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) case in particular.

Now that he and Abby are over and he’s investigated a second case that seems to be a setup on the Abbott side this time, he’s ready for a new beginning. The new beginning might be the old beginning, but if he does private investigation at least he’ll know the evidence he brings in isn’t compromised.

Y & R Spoiler – Working For The Law Beside Law Enforcement

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Chance can offer his investigation services in a manner where he can still work for the law beside law enforcement, but still be distanced somewhat from the outcome. That way he can know that he did his part even if someone down the line drops the ball – perhaps investigations to help the new District Attorney with prosecutions.

He could also help with cold cases – looking through old files of cases with no solution or prosecution, something that the GCPD has been too short staffed to do.  It has been frustrating to know he’s solved cases that just get shot down by the big wheels in town even though he knows it’s not the Police Chief’s fault.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Getting It Done

Chance turns in his resignation to the GCPD, explaining his frustration to Chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) who understands. Paul has also done private detective and investigation work early in his career and he’s been frustrated with the “machines” of the Newmans in particular himself. Then once that’s done Chance reestablishes his licensure and sets up business, aligning himself with the GCPD but working from the outside.

One of the first cases he looks into is a cold case, a murder that’s never been solved and since he’s consulting with the GCPD but not employed, he has access. Perhaps he can do more from the outside looking in than from the inside looking outward.
