With Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) new cat clearly and purposely poisoned, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is sure he knows who broke his daughter’s heart this way while also hurting an animal. It had to be the sociopathic Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) who is back in town ready to make Sharon Collins’ (Sharon Case) life a pure living hell.

Nick is never one to mince words or shy away from a fight and if he thinks someone he loves is in danger or has been hurt, he will take action.

To that end, Nick decides to show up at Cameron’s hotel room and tell him that he knows he is the one who did that to Faith’s poor cat.

“Nick accuses the dud of killing a defenseless animal, and of course, Cameron denies it,” Joshua Morrow said in the June 12, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “In fact, Cameron is being very calm and cool, which only ticks off Nick even more. Cameron is playing Nick like a fiddle, and of course, he should because Cameron is smarter and more in control than Nick. Cameron knows exactly how to push Nick’s buttons to get the response he’s looking for.”

As Cameron talks, Nick realizes this man is as crazy as ever and still thinks he is in love with Sharon. In fact, he seems to make it clear that he thinks he can win Sharon back when he never really had her to begin with all those years ago.

This gets Nick so angry that he is ready to punch Cameron, but he stops himself. Instead, he punches a wall and then has more words for this dangerous man.

“Nick warns Cameron that there’ll be far worse coming if he doesn’t get out of town and leave Sharon alone,” Morrow said.

With that, Nick leaves and heads over to Crimson Lights where Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) soon arrives to arrest him for assaulting Cameron.

Nick insists he did no such thing but somehow Cameron looks all bloodies and beaten and Nick realizes he is in a tricky situation that is just going to get worse.”
