Will Chrisley Knows Best Fans Watch A New Reality Show By The Family?

Chrisley Knows Best fans heard back in February this year, that Savannah and Chase were thinking about a new show. With their parents in prison for fraud and tax-related crimes, the USA Network and E! Entertainment dropped the family like a bucket of hot potatoes. Now some footage leaked, and the new show looks like it might be low-budget. So, will fans watch it?

Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Struggle Financially

Chase plays golf, likes dining on yachts, and sells candles. Well, that’s not going to put a lot of prawns on the table, so he and Savannah opened a real estate business. Meanwhile, she apparently ran into some issues with rebranding her Sassy by Savannah cosmetics business. Additionally, she runs her new podcast, Unlocked, on YouTube. Presumably, she gets some income from that and from her Instagram. However, it’s unlikely that they can afford the affluent lifestyle that they were enjoying before their parents were convicted. Notably, Todd and Julie have to pay millions of dollars in restitution.

When news about the Chrisley Knows Best family’s new TV show broke, obviously Todd and Julie wouldn’t be the central characters in the show. Instead, the program would focus on the rest of the family and their struggles in dealing with their parent’s incarceration. Savannah described the show’s premise as “heartbreaking.” Recent developments revealed that both Grayson and Chloe, the younger members of the family, will also appear on the show. Nanny Faye may or may not be part of the cast. The question is, will anyone want to watch it?

Chrisley Knows Best – Will A Show Work Without Todd Chrisley?

Whether Todd is guilty or not is beside the point. When Backwoods Barbie talked about it on YouTube, she correctly pointed out that he was the brains behind the comedy. Actually, the show didn’t get a massive audience, mainly because a lot of people didn’t relate to the Southern humor. But, enough folks tuned in to keep it going. They went there because of the pranks, the fun, and the laughs.

The question is whether Chrisley Knows Best fans will get any laughs out of the new show. In fact, Savannah seldom brought much to the old show, apart from the odd quirky line obviously scripted by her dad. Even she said that the new show will probably be a tearjerker. And who really wants to watch that? Life is hard enough for most people who get on with their lives feeding and educating their kids. Do they want to come home and sit down and cry with young Chloe?

Chrisley Knows Best fans agreed that without Todd, the show might be a lemon.@Nspyrd nailed it by saying, “Todd has personality – quirky, eccentric, fluid… not knowing what was going to come out of his head was the reason I’d watch the show, and frankly, would STILL watch. Unlike with some other “reality” shows, this one was clearly set up with situations and events that (to me) never seemed based in anything more than to entertain. Between him and his mom, THEY were the life of the show.”
