What’s Happening With 90 Day Fiancé’s Ella Johnson & Johnny Chao?

Ella Johnson and Johnny Chao starred in season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. While on the show, Johnny had talked about flying to Idaho to meet Ella. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they never actually got to meet due to travel restrictions. Fans of the TLC reality show might be wondering what happened with the couple. Have they both moved on from their online relationship?

Due to the fact that Johnny couldn’t travel to the US and because Ella craved physical attention, she ended up cheating on the Chinese native. While Johnny did forgive her, he never managed to travel to America to be with her in person.

After chatting online for months, Ella decided to meet Johnny halfway in Dubai and bought a flight ticket. However, Johnny said he couldn’t afford to take a chance and fall sick, as he is the sole breadwinner in his family.

After Johnny never managed to get to the US to meet Ella, in September 2022 she shared that she is no longer waiting for him. In her Instagram Story, she wrote that they are not currently together. However, she did mention that she and Johnny are still in contact and that he still wants to travel to the US to meet her

However, while Ella does support Johnny’s decision, she has, in the meanwhile moved on. In fact, she wished him the best, saying she does care for him and really did care about their relationship.

Meanwhile, the 90 Day Fiancé alum recently shared details about her holiday with her family, where she expressed her gratitude to them. In her caption to some festive photos she wrote, “Even when times are hard they are always there for you when it’s genuine unconditional love.”

The former TLC reality star ended her caption, writing, “Please remember to always be kind and spread joy  you never know what people are going through and a kind word or smile can make a difference I see it all the time.”

In her latest post, Ella posted an image of herself in a green dress. She captioned it, “So I bought this for a wedding in 2019 but sadly I was too big  BUT. . . . . Change is possible and now I think it looks like a good buy haha.”

Hopefully, she will get to wear the wedding dress now it does fit her.

As for Johnny, his last post on Instagram dates back 37 weeks. He captioned the image, writing, “Today is a beautiful day, after raining the air is so fresh and with good moisture. Clouds are so close. I trimmed my beard and climbed to the rooftop cooked spicy cabbage for dinner.”

One of Johnny’s followers offered him good advice in a comment, writing “Stay in china Find yourself a nice girl and take care of your child and your family don’t worry about the one over here that’s cheating on you.”

However, it certainly sounds like the former reality star has also moved on.

Hopefully, both Ella and Johnny will have more success in finding love in 2023.
