Welcome To Plathville Spoilers: Olivia Plath Shows Sympathy For Duggars As She ‘Can Relate’

Welcome To Plathville Welcome to Plathville spoilers reveal that Olivia Plath has started to talk more about the religion that she was raised in. After she watched the new Amazon docuseries, Shiny, Happy People, Olivia has noted that she can fully relate to the way the IBLP teaches children in the religion. Jill Dillard and her cousin, Amy King both appeared in the series and shared their past with the religion and the Duggar family.

Both women have since changed their lives completely and do not obey the same rules that they were raised with. The docuseries also show just how abusive the religion is and how men in the religion are determined to make the women submit to their every need and want. As the docuseries is getting more attention, Olivia wanted to share her take on it with her fans this past week on social media.

After watching Siny, Happy People, Olivia was quick to talk to her followers on Instagram about how she was raised. She said, “Watching the Shiny, Happy People docuseries and watching Jill Dillard talk about her experiences, I related to her.

Jill Dillard and I are not on the same page and like religion and deconstruction and what we believe now, political peace or anything like that is totally fine. But I relate to a lot of her story when it comes to the public life. Financial stuff, legalities. All of that stuff.” It turns out that Olivia was hinting at the fact that Jill never got paid for doing the show.

Jill actually opened up on the docuseries about the birth of son, Israel and how TLC wanted cameras in the delivery room. Jill said, “After Israel’s birth, we asked TLC to pay us enough to cover what our out-of-pocket costs were for health insurance for Israel’s birth. They said they paid the family. But ‘paid the family’ means we don’t get anything at that point. ‘Well, we paid your dad, so take it up with him.'”

Welcome To Plathville  – IBLP And The Plaths

The Plath family are very similar to the Duggars in the fact that they were a large family who were Christian fundamentalists. They were not allowed to watch television, have social media, or eat sugar. Olivia’s family was much like the Plaths and Duggars. Olivia added, “Very few people from my family have left. No one from my in-laws left. Like, I thought some of my siblings were going to leave and they all went back. So I feel like I’m jaded, and I think it’s worth putting that out as a disclaimer hat I think the percentage is very small. But it’s probably more than I know, because there’s a whole world outside of my small experience.”

The docuseries is currently streaming on Amazon and continues to get a lot of attention.
