The Reason Meghan Markle Was Removed From Invictus Lineup Revealed

Without a doubt, the Invictus Games is the highlight of the couple’s year. However, it was speculated that she wanted to avoid the “media storm.”

Originally, the Invictus Games’ official guide announced that Meghan will “take the stage” during the closing ceremony to present a segment about the competitor’s lives.

Ahead of the Games kicking off on Saturday, September 9, Meghan Markle’s name was removed from the lineup with no official explanation as to why she won’t be performing the role anymore.

According To The Updated Schedule, German TV Host Hadnet Tesfai Will Replace Meghan.

Previously, the Invictus Games shared that Meghan will “take to the stage to host the intimate and moving glimpse into the extraordinary journeys of the Invictus Games competitors.”

Since the change was made, Daily Mail has cited several sources who say the original information was merely uploaded in error.

If the Duchess, 42, had traveled with her husband for the Games, she would have met him in Germany, after he makes a quick detour to the UK to pay homage to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth the II.

The Invictus Games is a competition event for wounded veterans. Harry founded it in 2014 after serving two tours in Afghanistan.
