Simon & Schuster Announce Counting On Alum Jill Dillard’s Book

Jill Dillard Counting On fans have been pleading for years for Derick and Jill Dillard to write a book. Well Jill, like her sister, Jinger Vuolo has stepped up and her book was just announced by Simon and Schuster. Called “Counting the Cost,” it looks to be a Tell-All styled memoir.

Counting On alum, Jinger Vuolo’s book Becoming Free, Indeed”  turned her into a best-seller almost overnight. Well, fans will really hope that Jill Dillard also does well. After all, she and Dercik bravely stood up to her dad, Jim Bob Duggar, and she and her mom were reportedly estranged for a while. In what seems like perfect timing, the book announcement arrived just ahead of the premiere of Amazon’s “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” docuseries,

Counting On alum Jill Dillard will be in the new docuseries. She said that if there’s a story to be told then she would be the one to tell it. Mind you, there are others who also stepped up. Amy King, Jill’s cousin will also be in the show. Additionally, viewers will hear from Jim and Bobye Holt who testified about the molestation in Josh Duggar’s CSAM trial. Riding on the back of the Amazon show, Jill’s book will hopefully get a massive audience.

Counting On – Fans Are Excited About Jill Dillard’s Book

TLC fans who follow Katie Joy on Without A Crystal Ball on Instagram were quick to comment on the news. The screenshot showed the cover blurb from Simon & Schuster who published it on their website. In short, it talked about how Derick and Jill didn’t want to rock any boats so they kept quiet for a long time. However, she and Derick raise a family now, and as they matured, they felt that they couldn’t keep on ignoring “the red flags.”

The information suggests that Counting On fans will hear about the couple “raising a family of their own, and they’re done with the secrets.” The description also adds:

Thanks to time, tears, therapy, and blessings from God, they have the strength to share their journey. Theirs is a remarkable story of the power of the truth and is a moving example of how to find healing through honesty.”

Counting On -TLC Fans React To ‘Counting the Cost’

Counting On fans who follow Katie quickly commented and there’s a lot of chatter with everyone sounding keen to be supportive.

One of them wrote, “I hope Jill makes a boatload of money to make up for all of the years of working for free. Go Jill!”

Another fan said, “This is going to be amazing. I’ll buy this book. I wasn’t too trusting that Jinger would tell the truth so I didn’t buy hers. I don’t share Jill’s beliefs but I think her motivations are more about saving lives from this cult.”

Plenty of other fans said they definitely intend to purchase the book by Jill Dillard. However, it won’t launch straight away. Apparently, it will launch in January 2024. Will you buy one? Let us know in the comments below.
