This year may have been a really dry one for the Duchess of Sussex, but that’s all about to change. In her first public appearance since extract from Omid Scobie’s book caused a stir within the royal fandom, Meghan, 42, announced that she has a slate of exciting new projects in the works. Meghan Markle Promises “Exciting” New Projects That Will Be Fun

“The Crown” is officially saying goodbye with its sixth and final season. Meanwhile, Meghan is just getting started in her dreams of becoming a power player in Hollywood – offscreen that is.

On Thursday evening, the “Suits” alum made her red carpet return at the Variety Power of Women event in Los Angeles. The event aims to highlight the achievements of women within the entertainment industry.

Speaking to Variety, she shared her hopes that she and husband Harry will be able to position themselves as Hollywood producers.

She told Variety that her focus is on creating “things that make people feel” as well as inspiring “a sense of community.”

Highlighting her future endeavors, she said, “We have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating.”

She added that Harry is onboard too, saying, “My husband is loving it too, which is really fun.”

This is happening at a particularly controversial moment in Royal Family history with two back-to-back programs focusing on the monarchy arriving at approximately the same time.

First Is “The Crown’s” Sixth Season And The Other Is Omid Scobie’s Book “Endgame.”

Arriving on November 28, “Endgame’s” synopsis announces that it will explore the current state of the British monarchy, an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a Queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.”

The book claims “Queen Elizabeth II’s death ruptured the already-fractured foundations of the House of Windsor, and dismantled the protective shield around it.”

Meanwhile, this season of “The Crown” also entered the most controversial period of the Royal Family’s modern era: Princess Diana’s death and the ensuing fallout that followed.
