GH Spoilers: Sonny Is Keeping Secrets — And It’ll Lead Nina To Seek Revenge On Carly

General Hospital spoilers suggest Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is starting to resort to his old way of handling things. He said as much to his son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who pointed out how different Sonny has been lately compared to the man he was when he first returned from Nixon Falls.

Sonny doesn’t see any other option on the table though. He has to proceed with caution after the latest attempt on his life, and that means battering down the hatches and keeping the people he loves at arms’ length.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is experiencing this unfortunate side effect of dating a mobster for the first time now, and she’s not too pleased about how far out of reach Sonny feels to her. Meanwhile, he doesn’t look off limits to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) at all.

Nina can’t shake the feeling that the relationship she once had with Sonny is about to fall by the wayside. Their regular time spent together keeps them tethered to the idea that they both still resemble the people they were in Nixon Falls. The truth is, neither of them do.

Nina never wanted to know about Sonny’s criminal enterprise, and that wasn’t entirely because she was scared of his world. Rather, she didn’t want to face the other side of Sonny that didn’t jive with the man she really fell in love with — Mike. Is Nina really losing Sonny, or is she just being forced to face the music that he never was Mike?

In the interim, Nina is going to be biding her time away from Sonny and paying acute attention to how often Carly is in his orbit. When she recently showed up at Sonny’s penthouse only to be sent away, it hit her hard that Carly was there when she arrived — and teary eyed.

For the duration of their relationship, Nina has felt like she wasn’t enough for him — not enough to compare to what he used to have with Carly, anyway.
