GH Spoilers: Sonny Has Dex’s Back — Can He Say The Same About Michael?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is going to show just how he feels about Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and it’s going to leave a mark on his young, new associate that is hard for him to ignore. Meanwhile, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will continue to expect that Dex is doing his best to make sure Sonny is thrown behind bars soon — and for good.

Michael may have waffling feelings about his father, and he might not be used to this kind of hate-fueled sabotage against someone he has loved for so long, but he’s come too far to back out now. When Sonny shows up for Dex in a big way, it’s going to cause a noticeable rift in Dex’s working relationship with Michael.

When the Pikeman Group deal day arrives, Dex is going to be on pins and needles waiting for the big takedown to occur. Whatever he has planned is supposed to be tied up at the end with a bow that leads the PCPD and federal agents straight to Sonny’s door with a guilty verdict that will put him away for life.

That’s not going to happen, though. Sonny caught a whiff of Dex’s lies more than a month ago, and he knew he needed to look into what Dex was actually up to when he wasn’t in Sonny’s sight. Now that he knows Dex has really been working against him, he’s going to turn the tables, and he just might change Dex’s perception of what he wants, too.

The most striking part of this traumatic event won’t be that Dex lost his footing and didn’t pull off the takedown as planned. Rather, it’s going to be the relief he feels that it didn’t work out. He doesn’t actually want Sonny in jail, and he won’t realize that until after the fact.

When Dex spies a man with a gun trying to take both him and Sonny out, he’s going to make a beeline to protect his boss from fire. Dex will spend days replaying that moment in his mind afterward and wondering why his instinct was to protect Sonny.
