GH Spoilers: Ned’s Amnesia Buys Nina Time

General Hospital spoilers spill Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) problems are far from over. In fact, they’re just beginning. If his family thinks his poolside fall is quite the scare, they won’t know what hit them when someone tries to take Ned out!

As the ELQ shark starts to show signs that brain activity is picking up and he may wake up soon, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is going to panic and call in the big dogs. She can’t very well run to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when she’s in need of a hit man, but she does know one other person she can call on — Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

The last thing Valentin is expecting before he heads off to Chechnya with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is a frantic call from his ex-wife asking him to kill someone for her. And not just any someone — a Quartermaine!

Valentin may remind Nina that Ned’s amnesia could be considered a stroke of luck for her, as it’s possible that he won’t recall discovering her involvement in the SEC tip against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). But she may not be willing to take that gamble as it would be far more believable if Ned coded and died before he ever opened his eyes again.

Rumor has it, Nina has what it takes to pull this off if it means she gets to hold onto the life she’s dreaming of with Sonny, but will she be able to live with herself afterward? Probably not, and that’s what Valentin is afraid of.

As a last-ditch effort to convince her of an alternative, General Hospital spoilers hint Valentin might consider giving up his shares in ELQ in exchange for Ned’s silence, should he ever remember the events leading up to his accident. But Nina isn’t going to let him forsake his stake in the company because of her mess. No, Ned must die! Oh, the drama!

Nina is going to stress that time is of the essence. Ned could wake up at any moment, and she can’t risk losing Sonny and her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), who already isn’t her biggest fan. Valentin’s hesitancy to help her out will have little to do with his care for Nina or fear of getting caught, and everything to do with her desperation and worry that she isn’t going to be able to stomach what she’s done — after it’s done.

Will Nina have to resort to even more desperate measures, like sending Nurse Clara (Susan Diol) to do Ned in if Valentin doesn’t seem all that interested? Fans are already speculating she has sent this mysterious woman to manipulate Willow during such a vulnerable time in her life. What’s a little attempted murder while she’s at it?
