GH Spoilers: Is Portia Close To Breaking Up Spencer And Trina?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tell us that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has been interested in Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) from the moment she met him.

The feeling was mutual. The problem was that Spencer already had a girlfriend, the evil Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), who proceeded to make Trina’s life, as well as everyone else’s, miserable.

Now that Esme is out of the picture, Spencer and Trina have fully committed to each other. They are in love and happy together.

But things are never that simple on General Hospital. Trina’s mom, Portia Robinson, does not like Spencer and would like him to disappear from her daughter’s life. It looks like she is on her way to making that happen.

General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Has Her Reasons For Disliking Spencer

Any mother would understand why Portia does not approve of Spencer. He played with her daughter’s feelings for a long time while he had a girlfriend.

Then that girlfriend framed Trina and almost got her sent to prison. Not to mention that his crazy uncle kidnapped the couple and almost got them killed.

Most moms would want their children far away from the craziness that surrounds Spencer. But this is General Hospital, and it is by far not the worst relationship Port Charles has ever seen.

Dr. Robinson tried talking to her daughter, but that did not work. If mom pushes too hard, it may cause their already fragile relationship to crumble. So what’s a mom to do?

Portia Is Doing Her Best To Cause Spencer And Trina To Break Up

Talking to Trina didn’t work, so she turned to Esme. The doctor has been throwing hints at the young mom to bring her closer to Spencer.

Her son, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), is Spencer’s brother and he would do anything for the baby. Portia knows this so she has been manipulating Esme to manipulate Spencer. It may even be working. Trina is not comfortable with her boyfriend living with Ace’s mom. Portia is playing on that.

She also finally laid out her negative feelings to Spencer. She explained that he is not good for her daughter and that maybe he should let her go before he hurts her again.

Will Spencer End Things With Trina?

The young Cassadine may take Portia’s words to heart. He will not leave his brother alone with Esme so he will continue living with her. He knows this hurts Trina.

Spencer also realizes that his girlfriend is a better person than he is. He has hurt her in the past and, while he does not intend to do it again, it may happen. The situation with his brother’s mom is a tricky one.

Trina is going through a lot at the moment (two dads, one being shot) and Spencer will not want to add to her pain. He really does love her and may believe that her mom is right. It may be best for him to let Trina go now and spare her pain in the future. Portia may have manipulated him to do exactly what she wants.

The problem is, Trina will be miserable without Spencer. If she finds out that her mom had a part in breaking them up, she will not forgive her.
