GH Spoilers: Harmony Begged Carly To Protect Willow From Nina — Was She Right?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) was brutally honest with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as she laid on her deathbed and knew life was escaping her body. Harmony didn’t want to leave this world without making sure someone knew to protect her daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

Carly never could have anticipated what Harmony was going to tell her that night, and if she could take it back now, she probably would. However, learning that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was Willow’s biological mother changed everything. Now, Carly can’t help but wonder if Harmony had the right intentions all along.

When Harmony confessed the truth to Carly, she insisted that she kept it a secret all these years on purpose to protect Willow from Nina. Of course, that could have been Harmony feeding Carly’s ego and hatred for Nina, which was no secret to anyone attached to the family.

However, Harmony seemed rather sincere and remarked that Nina would suffocate Willow and the kind of love she dishes out would be all about her, not Willow. Can anyone really say that Harmony was wrong? Even Nina recently admitted to Willow when giving her the half heart necklace that she can be rather self-absorbed and often makes everything about herself.

Indeed, Carly ended up keeping Harmony’s secret, but it wasn’t in honor of Harmony. It also wasn’t because she saw eye to eye with Harmony and thought Nina could only love someone in a toxic way. However, Carly had a front row seat to Nina and Willow’s relationship the last few years, and she knew they had already proven to each other how much they couldn’t tolerate one another.

Nina hated Willow, and Willow hated Nina. Carly didn’t see a logical reason in telling them the truth after they had already learned how they really feel about each other. She thought that would only cause pain.

Is Nina actually a threat to Willow? As it stands right now, it is because everyone is aware of their relation to one another that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is going to be able to save Willow’s life with a bone marrow transplant she wouldn’t have otherwise had.

Nina may be selfish at times, and she might also be blinded by her own aggressive feelings and hatred for how unfair life can be at times, but she does genuinely love her daughter. Of course, Willow has a valid point in expressing that Nina is in love with the idea of being a mother to a daughter, and not in love with Willow specifically. Time will tell.
