GH Spoilers: Cody Realizes He Knows Gladys — Will He Tell Sasha The Truth?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) was caught off guard when he was making small talk with Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson) at the Quartermaine mansion recently. When she dropped the name Gladys in his lap, he paused and questioned whether it could be the same Gladys he’s come to know.

Of course, he didn’t take it any further because he had no interest in revealing to Sasha that he’s involved with illegal back-room poker games orchestrated by mob queen, Selina Qu (Lydia Look). However, he still wrote it off as though it was unlikely the Gladys he knew and Sasha’s mother-in-law Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) are the same person. Now, he’s going to stumble upon the truth, but will he share it with Sasha?

When Cody finds out the Gladys he knows is Sasha’s mother-in-law, he’ll be taken aback and feel obliged to do something about it. Does he spill to Sasha and tell her Gladys has been spending thousands at the poker table no one is supposed to know about?

What if Gladys puts all of the players, Selina, and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in hot water because she retaliates or publicly blasts Gladys for what she’s done? Gladys could be legally liable for some of this, too, which might end up with the PCPD finding out about Selina’s back-room casino. Cody might decide the only way to protect himself and his access to this line of income is to keep it hush that Gladys is up to no good — and is no good at poker.

Selina’s late-night poker games are so secretive that even we don’t know who is in attendance and how they’re all doing when they walk away richer or poorer than when they showed up at The Savoy. It’s clear to Cody that Gladys has been playing a terrible game and losing left and right.

Gladys hasn’t been shy about sharing that she is Sasha’s legal guardian and consider’s Sasha’s post of money to be her own. We’re not sure Sasha sees it that way, but Gladys has been living it up at Sasha’s expense. Of course, Cody doesn’t know that, but when Sasha shared that her mother-in-law of the same name was in control of her finances, it gave Cody some pause as he mulled it over and prayed they couldn’t be the same person.

Cody might be inclined to do whatever benefits him most, but he could also be intrigued by Sasha. If he finds himself falling for her charms, he could decide to be an upstanding guy and attempt to help Gladys dig out of the hole she’s gotten herself into. For all we know, he’s a fantastic poker player. He might be able to coach her or even loan her the money to cover what she’s lost. Will this be enough to smooth things over before Sasha gets control of her own finances back and realizes how much of her fortune is missing?
