GH Spoilers: Carly Suspects Ava Knows More Than She’s Letting On — Will Ava Turn On Nina?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) came on strong as she stood in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) apartment and grilled her about her potential involvement in Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) death.

While Ava wasn’t willing to divulge any details about her entanglement with Austin or his shifty cousin, she may soon find herself throwing Carly a bone of another kind just to get her to back off.

As Carly continues to narrow her focus on Ava out of suspicion about Austin’s murder, Ava could find it all too convenient to let Carly know there are other secrets out there she may be far more interested in — like who turned her and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in to the feds for insider trading.

Austin may not have been able to escape his killer, but Ava is going to dodge a real bullet with Carly when she keeps putting on the pressure to come clean about her sins.

Carly can tell that Ava is in over her head, but the last thing Ava is going to do is tell Carly she is worried Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) may have returned to Port Charles — bent on seeking revenge for her attempted murder on him.

Still, Ava emphasized that it’s her business whether she wants to loop Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on her problems. Will Carly respect that?

When Ava starts to grow concerned that Carly is going to take her suspicions to Sonny and encourage him to put further pressure on Ava to confess her melodrama to him, she’ll be desperate to redirect her attention in any way that she can.

Unfortunately for her bestie, Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), that may mean throwing her to the wolves and hoping for the best.

Can Ava convince Carly that the nerves and anxiety she is sensing have nothing to do with Austin’s death — and everything to do with the secret she has been keeping about Nina?

After all, Nina already knows about Ava’s ties to Austin, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and Nikolas. She can’t very well make an enemy of her now.
