General Hospital Spoilers Wednesday, February 22: Questions Asked, Claims Staked, Baby Delivered

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, February 22 tease questions asked, claims staked and a baby delivered. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is asked questions, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) stakes a claim, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) helps deliver her grandchild.

General Hospital Spoilers – Scott Baldwin Follows Up

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) follows up with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) as he tells her they have some unfinished business, since she was going to turn herself into the police. Elizabeth was feeling guilty over her part in Esmé Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) captivity at the hands of Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) for several months. She had been roped into covering for Nikolas and providing prenatal care for Esmé although she didn’t really protest.

Elizabeth and Nikolas had been friends for many years so it kind of came natural to her. Nikolas “having left town” as Ava Jerome (Maura West) lied, could create some complications in the case.

GH Spoilers – Questions Asked

At the hospital, likely in the emergency room, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) is asking Austin some questions. It sounds like she wonders why Austin was at Wyndemere to begin with as she tells him it was a little late to do a follow up house call. Austin will have to come up with a cover story since he’s certainly not going to tell the wife of the Chief of Detectives he was helping dispose of a body! Telling her about Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray) stalking Ava might work, if Mason doesn’t sing like a canary about their “family business.”

General Hospital Spoilers – Hamilton Finn Gives Advice

It looks like Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) drops in on Elizabeth while Scott is there, because he tells her not to make any rash decisions tonight. Finn knows that Elizabeth was planning to turn herself in, but with all that’s going on at Spoon Island it might not be necessary. If he was at GH, then he’s probably been helping treat Austin and knows what’s been happening there from him, and the dust all needs to settle.

Austin was taken in the ambulance with Felicia going along at his request so he doesn’t know Esmé’s in labor. She burst in after they were out of the castle.

GH Spoilers – Staking Claim

Marcus has tracked down Portia Robinson Ashford (Brook Kerr) and he’s staking his claim. Regardless of who turns out to be Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) birth father he’s the one that counts, and he tells Portia that he is Trina’s dad. Unless he took a hair from her head and went and had their DNA compared at the forensics lab he doesn’t know for sure either. But he knows that it’s the relationship that counts and he and Trina will always be father and daughter regardless of biology.

General Hospital Spoilers – Urgent Request

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) buttonholes Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) after he and Trina were briefed by Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at the docks. He and Trina were told that Esmé was on Spoon Island and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) were there too and they were her birth parents. It’s plain to see Spencer is worried about his sibling, and tells Jordan he needs to be on that island immediately.

Jordan is probably not going to allow him to go there with the island swarming with police although now Esmé is safe although in labor. Heather’s been captured but still in the castle and his grandmother Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) are there, and the castle itself safe.

GH Spoilers – Baby Delivered

Esmé is on the couch in heavy labor as Laura and Kevin are trying to assist; Kevin tells Laura the baby is coming NOW. It looks like they will be the ones to deliver the baby, with the paramedics gone with Austin before she burst in. Hopefully there will be no complications because Kevin’s a psychiatrist not an obstetrician, although all doctors are taught to deliver babies. Whether the baby will make it is anyone’s guess at this point, Esmé not having spent most of her pregnancy in the most ideal conditions. Dry labor is bad enough for a first time mother.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ryan Chamberlain Dares Ava Jerome

Shots will ring out on Spoon Island, but whether they come from Ava shooting Ryan again or not or police, is anyone’s guess. Ava shot Ryan in the shoulder but he knows she killed Nikolas, so she might have to finish him off. Ryan taunts her as he tells her she’s not done with him yet, but she’s still holding the gun on him.

This epic showdown may end Ryan, or police might get there in time to intervene. Ava has had as much as she can take of Ryan, and she did tell Heather that although Ryan started it, she was finishing it.
