General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Ices Dex Out Of The Deal

General Hospital spoilers tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) recently cut Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) out of a single conversation, and it left him so shaken that he ran to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for reassurance that all was not lost.

Michael seemed overly confident that Sonny must not be onto Dex if he’s sharing parts of his past with him over a meal, but in reality, Sonny loves to get up close and personal with his targets before he slaughters them. Michael shouldn’t be blind to that. Sonny is onto Dex, and it won’t be long before he figures out who he’s working for. This isn’t going to end well for someone, but who will beat the other to the punch first — father, or son?

If Dex couldn’t stand being kicked out of one private meeting, he better buckle up. Many more are to come, and he’s not going to be given an explanation for Sonny’s sudden about-face. When it happens again, and Sonny prefers another associate over Dex, he’ll leave Dex shaking in his boots and trying to make sense of the mob boss’s mixed messages.

When Dex runs back to Michael to report what has happened again, Michael is going to start getting the feeling that Dex isn’t up to this task. Is that true, or is Michael looking for any reason he can to back out of this at the eleventh hour?

When Michael doesn’t respond the way Dex needs him to the next time around that reassures him Sonny isn’t onto him, he might start to feel like Michael is also icing him out and leaving him to his own defenses. He thought they were a team, but anymore it feels like Michael isn’t nearly as invested in this as Dex is.

That may be true because Michael is losing the passion to take his father down while Dex is only picking up more reasons he would like to see Sonny in prison — like sleeping with his stepdaughter.

While Dex is spinning his wheels, GH spoilers show Michael will be thinking strategically about what might really be going on with Sonny. Is he actually onto Dex? Can Michae live with it if something happens to Dex and his blood is on his hands? Before things have a chance to go too far, Michael just might tell his father what he’s been up to — but will that still leave Dex completely unprotected?
