Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Shawn Hit With A Reality Bomb When He’s Suspended From The Force

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Shawn Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) will be hit with a reality bomb when he’s suspended from the SPD. He’ll be accused of drinking while on duty down at the docks by District Attorney Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) when she sees an empty bottle at a crime scene.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: On A Downward Spiral

Shawn has been on a downward spiral ever since shooting his father, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) in an attempt to save his mother, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso). Now his father is in a coma from which he may never wake up and so Shawn blames himself for acting according to his training as a policeman.

Even his own father would have done the same had the situation been reversed-from where he and Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) were standing, their speech could not have been heard.

Shawn didn’t find out until they got down there where it appeared Bo was ready to push Hope off a cliff that Hope had gotten through Bo’s programming.

Later, when brain surgery was done to remove the bullet from Shawn’s gun, a computer chip was found that revealed Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) was alive.

DOOL Spoilers: Melinda Trask Sees The Bottle, Wants To Fingerprint It

Back at the crime scene she and Shawn are at near the docks, Melinda wants to fingerprint the empty bottle to prove it was Shawn’s and he admits it. But like all alcoholics do, he says it’s no big deal, he’s fine, and can do his job, it was only one drink.

His attitude is Melinda has it out for everyone anyway, so of course she’s got it out for him too and his job is in danger thanks to her. He knows if she fingerprints the bottle she’s got proof of his drinking on the job and so he admits it but minimizes the effects.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Back At The Station, Things Go Further South

Back at the station, Melinda brings the situation to the attention of Rafe Hernandez, (Galen Gering) who she demands fire Shawn for drinking on the job.

Rafe refuses to fire him but he does suspend him, knowing Shawn needs a break and needs to get himself together. But Shawn sasses back at Rafe, and even though Melinda doesn’t hear it, acting Mayor Clint Rawlings (Grayson Berry) does.

Rawlings hears when Shawn tells Rafe he knows that he and his subordinate Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) are sleeping together. As a result, both Shawn and Rafe have a lot of explaining to do!
