Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Chanel Tells Paulina Of Talia’s Abuse, Paulina Sympathetic?

Days Of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will tell Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) about the abuse Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) endured. Paulina knows all about abuse from her first two relationships, and when Chanel tells her what Talia told her, she’ll be sympathetic.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – A Worse Than Ray Coates

Paulina knew that Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) was bad and scary, but she didn’t realize he was a worse than Ray Coates (William Christian).

Ray was more physically abusive, but Paulina understands mental and emotional abuse like Colin inflicted too; Chanel understood it well, because his father had that Svengali effect on her.

When Paulina hears the whole story, she is very sympathetic-and both she and Chanel know Talia needs therapy, maybe long term.

But most of all, she needs someone to listen who’s been there-and even in the midst of her pain missing Abe Carver (James Reynolds) Paulina is willing. She, of all people understands that kind of fear-the kind of fear that makes you give your oldest daughter to your older sister to raise to keep her safe.

DOOL Spoilers: She’ll Talk When She Trusts

Chanel keeps encouraging Talia to talk to her, as she does trust her, but she also tells her Paulina is willing to listen as well. She tells her the story about believing her sister was her cousin until about a year and a half ago.

The reason Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) is in prison is because of killing Ray Coates, her birth father -he’d clubbed Abe over the head and she thought he’d killed him.

Talia feels even worse about Colin’s hitting Abe over the head now, although she’s trying to make up by putting out posters to help find him. Chanel reminds her she is not at fault, and whatever she did was out of fear of Colin and under duress.

Paulina also lets Talia know that she’s there if she wants to talk about what she went through, as they now have a lot of common ground. It’s gone beyond just having Chanel being accused of killing Colin’s mother to the effect that Nathan Bedford (uncast character) had on her, so like Colin’s effect on Talia.

They have in common being afraid of abusive and controlling men, and going to extremes to keep themselves safe-placating and lies if no other way.

Paulina understands that kind of fear and when Talia trusts her is when she’ll open up. No wonder Paulina has panic attacks even when she’s safe, it can take years to heal from abuse.
