Steffy realizes that John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) has complicated feelings for Sheila. He is his birth mother, and their connection is inevitable. She cannot risk Sheila’s interference with her children. She decides to make a move to protect them from Sheila’s grasp.

It’s possible Finn may admit he wants a relationship with Sheila. If Steffy cannot trust Finn to watch out for Kelly’s best interest, she may decide her marriage is in trouble. Even if she still trusts Finn, she could conclude that she cannot trust Sheila to stalk her family and inject herself into their lives. Both scenarios are too much for Steffy to bear.

Finn may not be able to block contact with Sheila. She represents something he’s been missing his whole life. He feels a connection to her. He cannot explain what it is, only that it feels good to reconnect with his birth mother.

During the week of July 31, Steffy confronts Finn over the video Liam showed her. She wants to know why he was hugging Sheila and later lied to her about taking a call about a patient.
Finn will likely not know how to answer her question. It’s possible he doesn’t understand why himself. He may say Sheila was his patient. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers state that Steffy won’t like Finn’s answers and decides to take the kids and move away for a little while. She refuses to allow Sheila to have access to her children.

When Finn questions Steffy about how long she will be gone, she may not know the answer. Considering Sheila is an obvious threat to her family, Steffy might tell Finn she’s unsure how long her trip will be.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is near full term and will leave the show for several months. But rest assured, B&B fans, she will return after maternity leave.
