B&B Spoilers: Douglas’ Decision Helps Father – Can Thomas Be Kept In Check?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) is a prodigy. He is also brave, as the latest tall stand against his father demonstrated. But Douglas’ decision can help Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), if he is smart enough to recognize reality.

Douglas saw a third road. Rather than making what appeared to be one of two choices, he developed a creative solution.

Moving into the cliff house with Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) takes pressure off Thomas. It also means that he and Hope are no longer the lead voices where Douglas is concerned.

Steffy has compassion for Douglas. She, like anyone who knows the boy, sees someone who lost his mother at a very young age and was repeatedly affected by his father’s instability.

Thomas and Hope were stunned when Steffy was asked to become what amounts to another parent. She, along with John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), offer a nearly identical family environment at the cliff house as Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) provided to Douglas a at the cabin.

Douglas hopes the difference between the cliff house and the cabin is that it will be free of the drama. Living at the cabin initially meant being shuttled back and forth to his father or, as was true more recently, being with Thomas at the cabin under close scrutiny.

B&B Spoilers – Hope Spencer Lost Her Grip

Hope feels she let Douglas down. She is also uncertain why he would want to leave the home she and Liam provided to him.

Her mixed feelings are natural, as are most people’s where anyone connected to Thomas is concerned. Hope’s outlook is impacted by Steffy’s decision to create a forced choice at work.

Steffy told Hope that her line, Hope for the Future, will be indefinitely paused unless she agrees to Thomas’ rehire as lead designer. It will be interesting to see if Hope, like Douglas, finds a third way. In this instance, that might happen eventually rather than immediately.

Thomas sees an opening. He can use the opportunity Steffy provided to redeem himself with the Forrester family.

His creative efforts are not the issue. Instead, his undisciplined mind led him to be responsible for damaging the lives of people who chose to trust him.

Atkinson’s character also wants to restore his bond with Hope. That should be a far more complicated task on B&B.
