Diane fondly recalled the days when she, Jack, and there then young son enjoyed family time at the Abbott mansion. She also referenced Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) many intrusions, which set Jack off.

However, Diane’s immediate apology was meaningful and touched Jack’s heart. That second surprise also implied that Phyllis’ worst fear might be realized on Y&R.

But the dynamic was not heading toward a Jack-Diane revival until Phyllis made what might be a life-altering mistake. Phyllis and Jack just decided to try to re-couple when Diane’s mere presence at the Grand Phoenix Hotel reshuffled the soapy cards.

However, Diane is sincere about being sorry for the pain she caused Kyle, Jack, and others many years ago leading up to her faked murder. Jack sees that now, which will cause Phyllis to become even more unnerved, according to The Young and the Restless spoilers.

Phyllis’ worst fear was that Diane would come between her and Jack. That happened through a sudden, painful break that Jack initiated.

Phyllis’ connected dread is that Diane and Jack will reunite. That fear is no longer far-fetched.
