Y&R Spoilers: Adam’s New Job Hits Home – Victor Set Off

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is fortunate that he saw Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) at Chancellor Park. If he did not have that soapy run-in, in this city’s most popular outdoor meeting places, Adam was trending toward vengeful family sabotage.

Devoted viewers and Chelsea knew that Adam intended to bring his father down. He planned to use the Genoa City Police Department report that he legally obtained by paying a guy to break into Kevin Fisher’s (Greg Rikaart) car and steal his GCPD laptop.

Thankfully, Chelsea told Adam to change course. He values her insight and used it as the decisive factor in his turnaround.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Makes A Good Offer

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has long been a mentor to Adam. He has seen the character, that has been played as an adult by four actors through to Grossman, as another son.

Adam has often commiserated with Jack about all things Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Jack realized that he needed to change course after the Marco Annicelli (Bergman in a dual role) incident, which destroyed his relationship with Phyllis Summers (as then played by Gina Tognoni).

Marco was the Peruvian drug lord doppelganger Victor recruited to wreak havoc in Jack’s life. Adam has not recently endured anything nearly as bad but decided that Victor remains intractable. That helped propel the acceptance of Jack’s Jabot offer.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease Jack did not want Adam to become his co-CEO so they could wage endless wars against Victor. But the Moustache will not believe that.

Victor’s drive made him the new man that he is. Christian Miller, Victor’s birth name, changed his life when applying the Victor Newman moniker. He came to GC to help Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) run her company decades ago and then branched out on his own, creating an empire that is stronger than ever through the absorption of the Locke Communications Group that the late Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) merged with Newman Enterprises.

Adam is Victor’s son. Jack is Victor’s most annoying nemesis. So, Jack’s hire will naturally evoke vitriol and an anticipated response or a series of them.

Adam seems sincere about dropping his vendetta agenda. His tell to Victor, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at Society was intended to let them know he took them off the hook regarding the cover-up of Ashland’s death.

But Adam continued to reinforce a psychological point with Nick. He told his older brother that they deaths they caused, and Victor’s involvement in shielding them from justice, leaves scars.

Jack believes that Jabot represents an outlet that will allow Adam to channel his talent in positive directions. But will Victor attempt to bait both of them into battle on Y&R?
