‘Sister Wives’ Stars Kody And Christine Discuss About Their Relationship Status

Sister Wives spoilers, news, and updates tease that Christine and Kody got into an argument regarding the real status of their marriage.

Christine Brown stepped foot on the TLC show when she got involved in a polygamy marriage with her now ex-husband, Kody Brown. Last November 2021, she stated that her relationship with Kody was no longer working, which made her decide to finally call it quits. The mother-of-six then moved from Arizona and spend her time with her children in Utah.

On her social media account, Christine shared a statement regarding their separation. It says: “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.” She ended her post by saying that both she and Kody will make sure to take care of their children and still look after their welfare amidst their divorce.

In an exclusive clip, which ET recently posted, Kody was shocked as his daughter, Truely, used the term “divorced” in describing her parents’ relationship status. In the scene, Kody and Christine talked about the matter together with the other two sister wives, Robyn and Janelle.

“I was sitting there talking with Truely and she’s like ‘Well, you and mom are divorced.’ It was a little bit of news to me,” Kody stated. The patriarch got frustrated, for he doesn’t consider them divorced as they never approached the church for legal separation. Meanwhile, Robyn expressed her thoughts and sided with Kody.

On the other hand, Janelle also spoke up her mind and stated that they won’t be officially divorced if they won’t go through the legal process. As for Christine, she believed that she wasn’t legally married to Kody. “Since I don’t have any legal contract that binds me with Kody, there was no legal process that we had to go through,” she said.

In other news, the estranged couple discussed Truely’s custody. The 53-year-old man approached Christine and told her that they should arrange their daughter’s custody as the state will soon own her. He then showed annoyance with the “stupid” law to let the matriarch believe his statement.

However, Kody admitted that he was just making stories regarding the law so they can start attending to Truely’s custody. “There is this thing in the manosphere where it says if you’re getting divorced, you’re gonna get screwed, bro,” the patriarch said, explaining that he was just protecting himself from future legal issues.
