Sister Wives: Can Meri And Christine Stay Friends After Kody Brown Split?

Sister Wives spoilers tease that fans will learn more about the relationship between stars Meri and Christine Brown. And though the two once enjoyed a close friendship, Sister Wives soon will show some changes. But both Christine and Meri want to share their views on why they gradually became less close.

Sister Wives Spoilers – Stars Meri And Christine Brown Enjoyed Close Friendship

An upcoming special for Sister Wives will give stars Meri and Christine the opportunity to explore their relationship past and present. And each will discuss why she thinks their friendship has changed recently. But credit goes to Sister Wives host Sukanya Krishnan for asking the tough questions via Yahoo News.

The host asks Meri if it felt that Christine left both Meri and Kody when Christine split from Kody last year. “At the time that she first was telling us, that’s really how I felt. I felt very betrayed by her and that she was leaving me too,” admitted Meri. “Cause she has always said, ‘I didn’t just want the man. I want the sister wives.'”

However, Meri also looked at the past with regret. After meeting Christine in a church youth group in 1990, Christine became Kody’s third wife in 1994. “I know what kind of relationship she and I have had in the past. It’s been fun. It’s not been super super deep,” added Meri. 

“But it’s been a lot of fun and I miss that. I missed that for a lot of years with her,” shared the Sister Wives star. However, Meri then claims she doesn’t know why their friendship fell apart. But the host reminds her of that catfish scandal. And Meri admits, “I have not always been the perfect person or the perfect wife or the perfect sister wife. It just kind of comes down to we’re just not safe with each other and I don’t think there was one thing. It was over time.”

Christine Brown – Shares Own Views On Meri Brown Friendship

However, while Meri feels that the two didn’t feel safe with each other, Christine offered a different take on their relationship. And Krishnan asked Christine why Meri feels so betrayed. Christine gets blunt about her views.

“Cause I ended the friendship. I ended the relationship, I did. I ended it. It wasn’t safe for me anymore and I ended it and I just told her straight up, ‘No, we’re not going to be friends cause I don’t trust you and I’m not gonna do that to myself anymore,'” explained Christine.

And Christine made it clear that she feels done with trying to mend the rift. “She wouldn’t be nice to me. She was just putting me down a lot in public situations. Especially if her family was there she would just put me down,” said Christine about Meri. “When I hit my wall, I’m done.”
