Well, this certainly shouldn’t surprise anyone. British Royal News says that Harry and Meghan is now the biggest docuseries on Netflix of all time. And just to think, the second volume hasn’t even come out yet. Here’s what you need to know.

According to royal correspondent Omid Scobie, he says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a runaway hit on their hands. He wrote on Twitter, “The first half of Harry & Meghan has been @Netflix’s biggest documentary debut of all time. A rep says it debuted with 81.55M hours viewed by over 28 million households (in four days), the highest of any doc in a premiere week. It’s currently the #2 English TV series globally.”

Needless to say, many of Harry and Meghan’s critics sure did have a lot to say about the matter with, “I guess it’s a win for Netflix. For the couple, not quite. Audience rating for Wednesday sits at 86%. Even The Crown is 72%. But the audience rating for Harry and Meghan sits at 12%. What’s the point of having 88.6 million hours when the brand is in the gutters. 12% is not okay,” along with, “If you take into consideration their series is only 3 episodes , compared to a number of episodes all the others in that list have then you understand how huge that is. #HarryandMeghanNetflix is a resounding success.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Harry and Meghan?

According to the latest trailer of the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, Meghan’s lawyer Jenny Afia claims that there was a war against the Duchess of Sussex involving the palace and the British media. That’s because the royal family would often plant negative stories about Meghan whenever one of their own were being reported on.

Meghan herself also added that the royals would purposely try to make her look bad in the press in order to save themselves. She said, “A story about someone in the family would pop up for a minute and they’d go, ‘We gotta make that go away. But there’s real estate on a website homepage. There is real estate there on a newspaper front cover. And something has to be filled in there about something royal.”
