GH Spoilers: Dante’s Silence Over Rory Leads Sam To Question If There’s More To The Story

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) isn’t going to deal well with the sudden loss of Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) to the PCPD police force. Some of his colleagues, his mom, and even his girlfriend are going to notice a shift in Dante’s behavior.

They might make assumptions that most would — that Rory’s death was jarring as a fellow cop and he needs time to get his bearings and accept it. It’s always a tough reminder to a police officer that his life is on the line every day and the next unexpected death could be his own. But that’s not what is bothering Dante at all, and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will realize it first.

When Dante didn’t come home the night Rory died, and he didn’t even reach out to Sam to let her know or return her calls, she didn’t know what to make of that other than knowing for certain that Dante was not okay. This was out of character for him. He’s usually very reliable and would never want her to worry about him. While that wasn’t his intention, letting Sam slip his mind wasn’t in his responsible nature, and more behavior like that lies ahead for Dante.

Dante is bothered by a whole lot more than the fact that Rory is dead. He liked Rory enough, but they weren’t what Dante would call friends, and he honestly barely knew the guy — much like the rest of us. Dante has a secret that’s been brewing under the surface for months now and slowly eating him alive.

When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) came to Port Charles, Dante immediately had to face the memory of how he let Cody take the fall for a crime he committed. He’s hoping that secret stays buried in the past, and he doesn’t think Cody will be the reason it comes out. However, his nosy girlfriend could unintentionally bring it to light if she doesn’t back off of his childhood buddy.

Speaking of secrets, Dante’s past mistakes are bubbling up this Christmas as they might just relate to what happened with Rory. Still, it’s not that Rory’s death is weighing on Dante. It’s the way he died, because he was in that apartment with no back-up. Dante can’t figure out why Rory would have been in that apartment without another office on the scene.
