GH Spoilers: Carly’s Secret Ruins Drew Romance

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Secret Will Come Between her and Drew General Hospital spoilers reveals Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) sat at Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) bedside and held her hand as she left this world. Harmony’s last request was that Carly protect Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Confused at first as to why Willow needed protection, Harmony explained Willow was one of two; she was a twin, and not just any twin but the twin sister to Nelle Benson-Jerome (Chloe Lanier).

Carly has remained shocked by that revelation ever since. Knowing that Willow is actually Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter, Carly has kept both Nina and Willow in the dark. Unfortunately, she’s also kept Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in the dark, and that’s going to become a problem now that Drew is becoming more than just a friend.

General Hospital Spoilers — Why Has Carly Kept Quiet?

When Carly broke the news to Willow that Harmony confirmed to her she was not Willow’s birth mother, she could have shared the whole story. She could have told Willow she knew who her mother was, but she held back. It’s reasonable to question why, because the answer that sounds good — that Carly was just upholding her promise to Harmony — doesn’t really make any sense.

Carly has no loyalty to Harmony. She owes her nothing. Harmony has already robbed Willow of the truth, and Carly signed up to carry that torch. Would she have told Willow the truth if her birth mother was anyone other than Nina? Carly’s intentions are most certainly going to be called into question by everyone she loves.
GH Spoilers Indicate Carly Had Selfish Motives for Lying to Drew, Too

Lying to Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is one thing, but lying to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Carly confided in him enough to tell him half of the story, and then lied about the end result and said the DNA test confirmed Nina and Willow were not a genetic match when they were.

Why did Carly lie to Drew? Again, the answer that sounds good might be that she wanted to spare him any complication of being complicit to her secret, and she didn’t want to burden him with it. Still, Drew is going to question whether Carly didn’t trust him enough to tell him, or whether her character is that of a woman who withheld the truth merely so he didn’t try to get her to do the right thing with it.

General Hospital Spoilers — How This Comes Out Will Change Everything

This bubble is going to burst. It’s only a matter of time before Willow finds out Nina is her birth mother — and vice versa. Willow may be in no condition to fight with Carly when that time comes, as this revelation is likely to unfold while she’s quite ill. However, Nina will have no problem giving Carly a piece of her mind, and others — like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — might turn on Carly for some time. But Drew is going to be hurt that she outright lied to him, which is almost worse in a way than merely lying by omission. Can these two weather the storm that is Carly’s repeatedly poor character?
