GH Spoilers: Britt’s Big Bye-Bye Bash

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) holds her big birthday bash, with all but a couple people not knowing it’s a bye-bye bash. Britt has decided to leave town after the party, which is on New Year’s Eve on the Haunted Star, has concluded.

General Hospital Spoilers – She’s Made Up Her Mind

Britt has made up her mind, and no one is going to change it; she has fully come to terms with her decision, not wanting anyone to see her deteriorate. It had been a shock to Britt, finding out that she was in the final stage of Huntingtons’ Disease and it is all downhill from there, major deterioration imminent. Her recent clumsiness was the beginning of the end, her stage having been misdiagnosed in Canada when on the run with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Britt figures this last big birthday bash, the only birthday party she’s ever had and the only time she’s ever celebrated is her goodbye. It’s also the last time that she can do up the town and have a ball, and a ball she intends to have.

GH Spoilers – Fun, Fun, Fun, Until Huntingtons’ Takes It Away

Britt is determined to have fun, fun, fun until Huntingtons’ takes it away, and she doesn’t need any more slipups at work like Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) noticed. He had gently nagged her to get evaluated until she emotionally burst out the truth that she has a Huntingtons’ Disease diagnosis and he went out of his way to help. He knew a specialist at the top of the field who was having a seminar a short way across the border in Canada and convinced her to come to GH. The results weren’t what Britt was expecting or wanted to hear, but she finally accepted that she didn’t have as much time left as she thought.

General Hospital Spoilers – Goodbye Girl Or Good Times Girl?

Austin takes the chance to ask Britt to dance with him at the party, and he knows she’s planning to leave town right after the bash. He hopes that she will have a last-minute change of heart, and tries to convince Britt that it would be better to stay. No one should go through what’s ahead for her alone, and she has so many people to love and support her in Port Charles, including himself.

She’s already told her Co-Chief of Staff at GH, Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) that she was leaving, but something Austin says and the way he says it makes her think. She feels the love surrounding her at the party, and recalls the young woman who recently named her newborn after her-she thinks twice and asks herself why is she leaving?
