General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Is Stunned — Does Nik Tell Her The Truth?

General Hospital spoilers reveals it’s been months since Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) packed her belongings and headed to Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) penthouse seeking respite from her crumbling marriage.

Decimated by Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) when he stepped out on Ava with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), the couple has remained living apart and pretending to be interested in a divorce for the sake of appeasing Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) — who is holding Nikolas’ confession to Esme’s murder as leverage over them both.

Meanwhile, Ava has been exploring her real feelings and has noticed she’s not so sure she wants this divorce after all. However, when she tries to express that to her hubby, she might not get the reaction she was expecting.

After Ava first left Nikolas alone in his castle, he could feel the sting of loneliness, and she could feel how deeply he longed for her to come home. The newness of being alone seems to have worn off though. General Hospital spoilers show Nikolas isn’t chasing Ava anymore, and while he says he’s trying to fly under Victor’s radar, it seems more like he’s been consumed by something else. That he has.

Holding a pregnant woman hostage is quite an undertaking, as it turns out. He’s still in love with Ava, but he doesn’t have all the time in the world to obsess over how to get her back right now as he is spinning his wheels trying to keep this secret under wraps from his uncle who has just moved back into Wyndemere.

That being said, when Ava returns to Wyndemere to check on things and see Nik face to face, she’s going to feel rather unnerved by his insistence that everything is fine. As she offers Nikolas some hope that she might be willing to reconsider her decision to end their marriage, he doesn’t seem all that interested in having that conversation. What on Earth is going on and when did Ava lose control of this ship? He is the one who wronged her, after all.

None of this makes any sense. Ava might leave Spoon Island shocked and confused, but a few martinis later, she’s going to mellow out and see the writing on the wall. If Nikolas doesn’t want her to come home…fine, she won’t. However, it’s going to be on her terms, and she’s going to find out what he’s hiding first. As her suspicions continue to rise, Ava might go digging around Wyndemere and unearth his dirty little secret long before Victor does.
