General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Finds An Ally…In Spencer

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) is going to be feeling the effects of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) cruel betrayal for some time. Anyone who knows Ava knows how well she can revel in discontentment and pain for a long time.

She dwells on the past and tends to wash it all down with a bit too much vodka. Alcohol might influence some of Ava’s decisions, but she’s been a woman bent on revenge for years. Her family ties likely bred that into her, and rarely does she see the merit in letting bygones be bygones, or moving on without retribution of some kind. Ava doesn’t know how she’s going to exact revenge on Nikolas just yet, but the answer is going to fall into her lap pretty soon — or might she fall into someone else’s?

General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine Says, “I’m Sorry”

The last thing Ava is expecting to hear from Spencer is that he’s sorry — for anything. She would expect him to rejoice over the news that she and his father are finally parting ways. She would also expect he would’ve danced in celebration when he heard it was Nikolas’ doing, on the heels of yet another affair. Instead, Spencer will commiserate with Ava.

After all, they are the only two people who feel the same way about Nikolas and his affair with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Their disgust with Nikolas knows no bounds, and the affair with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) only compounded their feelings about Nik’s character. It will shock and delight Ava to hear Spencer is not only sorry for what has happened to her, but also for his role in any of it.

GH Spoilers – Hint Ava Jerome Cassadine Offers Her Own Apologies

Ava won’t shy away from offering her own apologies to Spencer in light of the revelations he appears to have had. Ava did always try to encourage Nikolas to put his son ahead of her, but she knows she owes Spencer apologies for more than just her past indiscretion when she chose her own vanity over testifying in Spencer’s favor. After this engagement, it looks like Spencer and Ava are both going to be willing to walk forward and forget about their past mistakes targeting each other.

General Hospital Spoilers — Will This Bring Friendship?

The future will look a lot different with Ava and Spencer being in one another’s corners instead of at each other’s throats. Moving forward with a mutual understanding of where they each lie, expect to see Ava and Spencer start out as friends, both delighted over the ease with which they can talk to each other, and how little tension there is between them anymore.

That being said, neither of these zebras have lost their stripes.
